Hatch-A-Thon Returning To Fairhope

Hatch, a Fairhope-based technology village and entrepreneurial support hub with a goal to support and grow the technology-based entrepreneurial ecosystem in the region, has announced Hatch-a-Thon, a technology competition with dedicated prize pools, for January 15-29, 2026. The three tracks are “High School” (grades 9-12), “Explorer” (newcomers) and “Veteran” (seasoned builders). “Instead of a sleep-deprived 48-hour sprint, builders get two full weeks to tackle real business challenges from local sponsors—on their own schedule,” Hatch said. Kickoff Night (January 15, 2026, at Baldwin Preparatory Academy) introduces challenges and sparks team formation, and Demo Night (January 29, 2026, at the University of South Alabama) brings everyone together for presentations and prizes. There is no cost, but registration closes January 14, 2026. For more information, contact Hatch at email.
