Innovate Alabama Names Inaugural Funding Recipients

Public-private partnership Innovate Alabama has announced the inaugural designees of its Innovate Alabama Network funding to 51 organizations across 17 Alabama counties, Yellowhammer News reported. The following local communities, nonprofits and higher-education institutions were among those receiving a portion of the $9.3 million in supporting funds: the City of Mobile, the Baldwin County Community and Economic Development Foundation, Innovation Portal, United Way of Southwest Alabama and the University of South Alabama. Applications for the second round of Innovate Alabama Network funding arealready open.
