Innovation Portal Announces Coffee Chats, Adds Intern

Mobile’s Innovation Portal has announced that its summer Coffee Chats will focus on “Home-Brewed Solutions.” My AI Ate My Homework is taking place on June 21 and will discuss generative AI. This series will look at the rise of new tools, including ChatGPT and Zapier, that can promote business workflow. July’s Coffee Chat will be on Value Proposition and is scheduled for July 19. Details, including panelists, for the July event are to be announced. Both events will take place at Innovation Portal’s offices at 358 Saint Louis Street at 8:30-9:30 a.m. T.J. (Taehwan) Jegal has joined Innovation Portal as special project coordinator intern. He is tasked with developing a resource guide to support entrepreneurs in the Mobile region, assisting in venture fundraising planning and assessment, supporting the entrepreneurial and community programs at Innovation Portal, and coordinating special projects related to planning and development. Jegal joins the staff on his break from his MBA studies at the University of Alabama. He ran two food-based businesses in Seoul, South Korea, before moving to the U.S. for graduate school. He plans to eventually build a business-starting guide for food-based entrepreneurs in Coastal Alabama.
