Innovation Portal Announces Events, Partnership

MOBILE, Ala. — Innovation Portal is launching Coffee Chats and Lunch & Learns this month at its facility at 358 St. Louis Street in Mobile. The Coffee Chats are panel discussions meant to be relaxed yet impactful, as big, actionable ideas are tackled. The first will be on August 17 at 8-9 a.m., and they will continue on the third Wednesday of each month. The first Lunch & Learn will be on August 24 at 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. with guest speaker Kevin Dean, chief development officer at Joe Bullard. Additionally, Innovation Portal has announced a partnership with Fluent to provide access to what it calls “more meaningful metrics for supporting startups.” Fluent says its measure, known as “The Fluency Score” is “a sophisticated, standardized measure of product-market fit, which captures the majority of risk in any early-stage company or investment.” It can help an organization discover where it is in terms of validation, traction and growth and realize its business model risk. There is no cost to businesses that use the virtual tool.
