Innovation Portal, Builders + Backers Partner, Kick Off Program

Innovation Portal of Mobile and Builders + Backers have announced a strategic partnership intended to significantly expand entrepreneurial resources across the Alabama coastal region. The collaboration establishes Innovation Portal as an official Builders + Backers affiliate and will add venture studio programming to Innovation Portal. Part of the collaboration is the immediate opening of applications for the spring 2025 Idea Accelerator program through March 15. Made possible through the Innovate Alabama Tax Credit program, it aims to activate new entrepreneurs from untapped populations and accelerate technology commercialization across the region. Selected Idea Accelerator participants will receive up to $5,000 in non-dilutive funding and dedicated assistance from both Innovation Portal and Builders + Backers’ venture studio teams.
