MOBILE, Ala. — Isodate was the recipient of a $50,000 investment from Portal Fund Round 2, being chosen from 150 applicants, Innovation Portal of Mobile announced. The video speed-dating company inspired by the challenges of dating during the lockdowns in 2020 provides live-streaming sessions in the U.S. and the U.K. It can connect each client with up to 15 people per session, which Innovation Portal says adds “depth over the surface-level experience of swiping a photo.” Despite Isodate being headquartered in Miami, it used Innovation Portal’s services.
