Still Time To Apply For Internship Program

MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. — Applications are open through April 22 for the Southwest Alabama Partnership for Training and Employment’s Mobile County STEP Summer Internship Program. The program prepares graduating high school seniors and college students for local employment. Businesses are asked to apply to allow interns to learn from them. There is no fee, though donations are accepted. The program runs six to eight weeks with 40 hours of soft skills training. It pays the students and all their insurance, including liability, unemployment and workers’ compensation.
