Venture Capitalists Launch $1-Million Investment Competition

Halogen Ventures has announced a statewide event including a pitch competition open to all Alabama-based early-stage startups (Pre-Seed to Series A) from any sector. Companies selected will film their pitch live in Tuscaloosa on September 23 and 24 in front of Tim Draper, Jesse Draper and guest judges during a live taping of Meet the Drapers broadcast globally across TV and digital platforms. The competition will be for up to $1 million in investment. The application deadline is August 31.
