Castille To Speak At Young Professionals Event

The Coastal Alabama Business Chamber’s Lower Alabama Young Professionals is hosting former National Football League (NFL) player and current chaplain of the Alabama Crimson Tide football team Jeremiah Castille on August 23 at 6-8 p.m. at the Springhill Suites at The Wharf in Orange Beach in conjunction with the Coastal Tailgate Cook-Off, which is taking place the following day. Castille played for the last team coached by Paul “Bear” Bryant and received All-SEC honors and was selected as the MVP of the 1982 Liberty Bowl. His NFL career led him to Denver, where he forced a key fumble in the 1987 AFC Championship Game, helping the Broncos get to Super Bowl XXII. He has been chaplain of the Crimson Tide since 2001. Admission is $35. Along with the speaking event, attendees will be granted access to a tailgate-themed appetizer buffet and live cooking demonstration and samples from Bill-E’s Small Batch Bacon of Fairhope. Attendees are encouraged to come dressed in their best game day jerseys and attire.
