Chamber Personnel Moves

The Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce has announced the move of its former director of communications, Denise Curtis, to the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce. Here, the Mobile resident will serve as communications director, promoting the community and informing on business growth opportunities. Curtis is a graduate of Troy University with a BS in broadcast journalism. She is a veteran of the Eastern Shore chamber (nearly six years), WPMI (four-and-a-half years) and WTVY (three-and-a-half years).
The Eastern Shore chamber also announced the addition of Mobile native Cam Jackson as director of membership and development. A graduate of The Citadel in business administration, Jackson was also a National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I cadet student athlete who was on the school’s dean’s list and all-conference football team, on which he served as team captain. He also played football in Turkey and Serbia before returning home due to the pandemic.
The Eastern Shore Chamber has also hired Joanna Almond, a native of the Eastern Shore, as director of communications. Almond “is well known in the marketing community and has worked with our chamber for the past 18 months on special projects,” it added.
