Coastal Chamber To Kick Off Quarterly Women-Focused Series

The Coastal Alabama Business Chamber for Gulf Shores and Orange Beach has announced a new mini-expo and speaker series. PowHER Hour+ is designed “to bring forth an environment to highlight women entrepreneurs featuring national speakers giving their stories.” The first iteration, on February 24 at 11 a.m.-1 p.m., will feature Stacy Brown, founder of Alabama-based Chicken Salad Chick. While based in Auburn, the restaurant saw a franchise open in Gulf Shores last August (BBN #2), with a Saraland location to come soon (BBN #6 & 10). The former will provide lunch at PowHER Hour+’s venue, the Orange Beach Event Center. A mini-expo featuring local women-owned businesses will take place prior to Brown speaking. Tickets and booth spots are limited.
