The North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce has announced the inaugural Dragons on the Delta Dragon Boat Race for October 17 beginning at 8:30 a.m. at Live Oak Landing in Stockton. The event aims to bring together businesses, organizations, families and community members for a day filled with friendly competition, teamwork, entertainment and community spirit. It will feature colorful dragon boats racing along the scenic waters of the Mobile-Tensaw Delta. Opening ceremonies will begin at 8:00 a.m., with the first race launching at 8:30 a.m. The family-friendly event will include food vendors, entertainment, team spirit competitions and opportunities for community engagement throughout the day. Teams are now being recruited, and sponsorship opportunities are available. Only 20 teams are being accepted, and the chamber says spaces are filling quickly.
