Eastern Shore Chamber Events To Host Curry, Elected Officials

DAPHNE, Ala — The Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce has announced that Thomas “Chris” Curry of the Mobile Airport Authority will be the speaker at its next Eggs N’ Issues event, taking place on November 9 at 7:30-9 a.m. at Resurrection Church in Daphne. Curry, who has been president of the authority since October 2017, has prioritized recruiting airlines, changing the roles of the Mobile Regional and Downtown airports and expanding business opportunities on the Mobile Aeroplex. Curry has spearheaded the master planning effort to transform the Mobile Downtown Airport at Brookley into the Mobile international Airport multimodal facility. Registration is $10 for members and $15 for nonmembers.Registration is also open for the Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Elected Officials Luncheon, taking place on November 29 at 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the James P. Nix Center in Fairhope. Members who attend will have the opportunity to connect with elected officials representing the Eastern Shore and Baldwin County. The goal is to build relationships and establish a continuous discussion regarding issues that impact the business community. The cost to attend is $50, and space is limited.
