Lemonade Day Eastern Shore Names Awardee

The Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce has announced Ian Port as the 2023 Lemonade Day Eastern Shore Entrepreneur of the Year. Port, who will be a third grader this year, participated in Lemonade Day in April. Participants were asked to fill out a simple profit and loss report after completing Lemonade Day, and the student with the biggest profit from the day won. Port was presented with a plaque and hoverboard as his prize. He also won the Best Overall Marketing award. His stand name was “The Main Squeeze,” which he set up in Downtown Fairhope near the Welcome Center. He profited more than $200 from his stand, which was set up from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The event promotes stands set up throughout Spanish Fort, Daphne and Fairhope each year.
