Mobile Chamber: American Weatherstar Business Of The Year

The Mobile Chamber has named American WeatherStar its Small Business of the Year. American WeatherStar manufactures commercial and industrial roof restoration coating systems and has contracts in more than 35 states. The company was begun by Brian O’Donnell in 2004. Since moving to its new location in Irvington in 2020, its overall sales have doubled, and its number of employees has grown from 30 to more than 50. In March 2023, it broke ground on a larger manufacturing facility and announced the purchase of a 5-acre lot next to its current property for future growth (BBN #139). “American WeatherStar stands out for its ‘FAST Academy,’ a training program that provides commercial roofing professionals with a comprehensive overview of [its] fluid-applied roof restoration system. The program helps professionals expand and diversify their businesses.” Small Business of the Year finalists also included Port City Industrial of Mobile and TC Boiler & Piping, Inc. of Semmes.
