Mobile Chamber Announces VP, Senior Director

Nancy Hewston was named vice president (VP) of communications and advocacy for the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce, and Maggie Oliver was named senior director of government affairs, chamber President and CEO Bill Sisson announced. The Chamber is combining the community and governmental affairs, and the communications and marketing departments to form the communications and advocacy department. Hewston joined the chamber in January as vice president of community and governmental affairs. She was previously senior vice president of communications, strategic information and federal affairs for the Business Council of Alabama, where she was responsible for the development and implementation of the council’s federal legislative agenda. Oliver joined the chamber in 2018 as director of community and governmental affairs. She has worked both on and off Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., in public policy and political communications.
