Mobile Chamber Awards to be Announced Thursday

JJPR, Calagaz Printing and WaveFly have been named the three finalists for the Mobile Area Chamber’s 2020 Small Business of the Year award. They were nominated by other small business members of the chamber, and a volunteer panel evaluated each nominee on business operations and impact, financial position, innovation and entrepreneurship, customer service, market strategy and community involvement. JJPR, a boutique public relations, marketing and events firm, was founded in 2010 by Jennifer Jenkins and has 10 employees. Calagaz, a full-service commercial print shop providing materials, signage, apparel and more, was founded in 1991 by Joe Calagaz and has 18 employees. WaveFly operates its own network of business-class broadband. It was founded in 2005 by Mike Francis and has 42 employees. The winner will be announced on August 20.
