Mobile Chamber Names Freeman Businesswoman Of The Year

The Mobile Chamber recently recognized Liz Freeman, CEO of Long’s Human Resource Services and chairman of the board of the Mobile Area Chamber Foundation, as the 2026 Freida G. Maisel Businesswoman of the Year. The award, presented by Louis Maisel, honors a woman who has demonstrated exceptional leadership in her field while making a significant impact on the community. “Liz represents the kind of steady, servant leadership that helps move a community forward,” said Mobile Chamber President and CEO Bradley Byrne. “Through her work in workforce development and her deep involvement across so many organizations, she’s made a lasting impact on both our business community and the people who call this region home.” Freeman is a third-generation owner and CEO of Long’s Human Resource Services, a staffing and recruiting firm serving Mobile and Baldwin counties. A graduate of Vanderbilt University, she has been with the company since 1998 and oversees all business operations.
