Mobile Chamber Promotes Rodgers To EVP

The Mobile Chamber has announced the promotion of David Rodgers to executive vice president (EVP). Rodgers previously served as vice president of economic development for the organization. He will continue to oversee the chamber’s economic development initiatives while taking on broader strategic responsibilities for the organization’s overall operations, growth and community partnerships. Rodgers joined the Mobile Chamber’s economic development department in January 2015 as project manager, advancing to senior project manager before being named vice president of economic development. Under his leadership, the department has overseen business recruitment and expansion, international trade, foreign direct investment, workforce development, talent attraction, existing industry relations and investor relations. Rodgers holds the designation of Certified Economic Developer from the International Economic Development Council and serves on various local boards, including for the South Alabama Regional Planning Commission and the USA Research and Technology Park.
