Mobile Chamber’s Eagle Awards, Paycheck Protection Deadlines

There is less than 24 hr left to apply for the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce’s Eagle Awards. This award was created to celebrate the accomplishments of local minority-owned businesses. Winners will be announced at a luncheon on October 16th. Also, the chamber is reminding people to apply for the Small Business Association’s Paycheck Protection Program before the August 8 deadline. Its loans are intended as direct incentives for small businesses to keep their employees on the payroll. The association will forgive loans, providing that a business meets the employee retention criteria, among others.
