Summer Work Travel Community Forum Coming To Orange Beach

The South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce has announced the Summer Work Travel Community Forum for August 5 at the Orange Beach Welcome Center. For both seasoned J-1 visa host employers and local business owners interested in hiring international university students for the first time, the forum will provide regulatory updates, step-by-step guidance and community connections to build a successful workforce for next summer. A keynote presentation by a representative of the U.S. Department of State will start at 9 a.m. The basics of the Summer Work Travel program will be explained at 9:30 a.m., and a talk on the value of a community support group and best practices will start at 10 a.m. Application and process information for Social Security administration and taxes will be detailed at 10:30 a.m., and an open question-and-answer session will take place from 11 a.m. to noon. Admission is free, but space is limited.
