SWMCC Accepting Sponsorships, Vendors, Donations For Kids Day

The Southwest Mobile County Chamber of Commerce’s (SWMCC) 11th Annual Kids Day is scheduled for July 27 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Tillman’s Corner Community Center in Mobile. The chamber aims to prepare local children for the upcoming school year by providing free backpacks with school supplies and uniforms. It will also include snow cone and ice cream trucks, vendors, bounce houses, Mercy Chefs from Oak Park Church, games, free haircuts by Genesis Salon & Spa and a “Beach Ball Drop” at 12 p.m. Sponsorship applications are being accepted until July 5, and vendor applications are being accepted until July 12. Donations of school supplies, water and old blue jeans may be made at the chamber’s office at 5055 Carol Plantation Road in Mobile. For more information, contact the office at phone: 251-666-2846.
