Town Hall For Canfor Project

MOBILE, Ala. — The Mobile Chamber has announced “Town Hall: Building with Canfor Southern Pine” on October 11 at 4 p.m. at its location at 451 Government Street in Mobile. The event is for those interested in submitting a bid to work on the construction of Canfor’s new $210-million sawmill complex to replace an existing facility in Mobile, which is expected to start up in the third quarter of 2024 (BBN #105). This public town hall is part of the chamber’s new "Mobile First" initiative to set local hiring goals for economic development projects. It is free, but those planning to attend are asked to register.
