BGCSA Hires Eaton, Pogue To Implement Grant

Boys & Girls Clubs of South Alabama (BGCSA) has announced Harrietta Eaton as its family engagement coordinator. Eaton will oversee the implementation of the new Trauma Informed/Mental Health Grant funded through the Alabama Alliance. She will also provide assessment, outreach and referrals to community social service and other resources. Via engagement with club staff, youth and their families, she will aim to develop an evidence-based and responsive emotional, social and mental health program and train all BGCSA staff in the principles outlined in the PRAXIS curriculum. BGCSA has also announced the return of Tiffany Pogue as a part-time staff member. Pogue will serve as program director for its social/emotional wellness programs. She will join Eaton in planning and implementing the aforementioned grant and be responsible for assisting in BGCSA staff PRAXIS training. Her additional duties include the responsibility for scheduling and teaching the SMART Girls, SMART Moves and other programs deemed to fit within the purpose and intended outcomes of the funding grant at each full-time BGCSA site. She will also continue to serve as chair of the Advocates for Girls Planning Committee.
