Foley Main Street Again Recognized Nationally

Foley Main Street has been designated as an Accredited Main Street America program for meeting rigorous performance standards for the sixth consecutive year, Gulf Coast Media reported. Each year, Main Street America and its partners announce the list of designated programs to recognize their exceptional commitment to preservation-based economic development and community revitalization. Foley Main Street’s performance was evaluated through assessments by Main Street Alabama, which works in partnership with Main Street America to identify local programs that meet rigorous national community evaluation standards. Over the past five years, Foley Main Street secured $134,838 in external grant funding to support downtown initiatives and economic development efforts. In 2025, the organization awarded $17,000 in direct marketing grants to local business owners and invested another $20,000 in professional training programs focused on customer service, soft skills and Google My Business optimization.
