Foley Main Street Distributes Lights, Announces Events

FOLEY, Ala — Foley Main Street has announced it is giving downtown businesses two 33-foot strands of warm white lights with the goal to light up Downtown Foley year-round. Businesses are asked to have the lights up in time for the downtown December 3 Christmas Open House on 11 a.m. -2 p.m. immediately following the Foley Kiwanis Club’s Christmas Parade, which begins at 10 a.m. This is in conjunction with the city’s Let It Snow in Heritage Park, beginning at 11:00 a.m. This event will include snow flurries in the park, children’s activities, live entertainment, a Christmas marketplace and Santa. Foley Main Street is also having its first window decorating contest, in which Downtown Foley businesses have the opportunity to win prizes up to $500. Entrants will be posted on social media by December 3, where businesses with the most “likes” and “loves” through December 16 will win. For more information, contact Foley Main Street via email.
