Foley Main Street Kicks Off Christmas In July

Foley Main Street has announced a special “Christmas in July” Third Thursday event on July 16, when Downtown Foley will be open for shoppers who look to get a head start on their holiday lists. There will be Summer Santa photo opportunities. A beach-ready Santa will be stationed downtown for photos, and Tropical Elves on Shelves will make appearances throughout downtown. Macaroni Kid has partnered with the event to sponsor and host a Christmas ornament decorating station for children and families. There will be music at Fish River Gallery, Mamma Mia’s, the South Orange Avenue Courtyard and Scuttlebutt Pub. Visitors can enjoy participating businesses’ “Naughty or Nice” discounts and drawings, and special treats and offers. “We want to give people a reason to explore our beautiful downtown, support our local shops, and have a little mid-summer fun without the stress of the actual holiday rush,” said Darrelyn Dunmore, executive director of Foley Main Street.
