New Battleship Commission Chairman Announced

The USS Alabama Battleship Commission has elected W. Terrance “Terry” Ankerson to serve as chairman for 2023-2025, the Mobile Chamber reported. Ankerson has served the commission as treasurer and is a past commission chairman. He also serves on the USS Alabama Battleship Foundation. A native Mobilian, Ankerson retired after 50 years of service with Regions Bank. He is active in the Mobile community and serves on the board of directors of the Mobile Child Advocacy Center, Visit Mobile, the Mobile Sports Authority and the Mobile Carnival Museum. The purpose of the commission is to oversee the management of the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park.
