The Starbucks Foundation Awards $7,000 Locally

The Starbucks Foundation recently announced a donation of $7,000 to organizations in Mobile. Four local Mobile nonprofits each received a “Neighborhood Grant” from this latest round. Prism United was awarded a $3,000 grant. Other organizations awarded are the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Alabama, Penelope House and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mobile. This year, across the U.S. and Canada, the foundation awarded more than $5 million in Neighborhood Grants to more than 2,800 nonprofits. Each nonprofit is eligible to receive between $1,000 and $15,000 per round.
