Womack Named YMCA Foley Branch Director

The YMCA of South Alabama has named Demonya Womack as the new branch director of The Snook Family YMCA in Foley. Womack has experience in leadership, youth development, athletics and nonprofit management. A standout three-sport student-athlete in football, basketball, and track and field, Womack continued his athletic and academic journey at Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania, where he competed as a collegiate football player while earning a bachelor’s in communications with a concentration in public relations and advertising. He later earned a master’s in sports management from the United States Sports Academy (now the United States Sports University). His professional experience includes working with the Charlotte Hornets, where he helped oversee grassroots youth basketball camps throughout North and South Carolina. He has also served in leadership and management roles within several nonprofit organizations, including three nationally recognized Top Ten youth nonprofits.
