ACF Middle School Program Announced

The Alabama Coastal Foundation (ACF) is holding the 2023 Mobile Bay Estuary Corps program for students in 6th and 7th grade on June 8-10 at 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. each day. The educational program aims to engage students through online career awareness videos and hand-on activities that explore and improve estuarine systems. Activities include exploring the Gulf of Mexico on the Alabama Discovery research vessel, touring the Mobile Delta in a kayak, studying the Mobile-Tensaw River Delta ecosystem and native vegetation at the Five Rivers Delta Resource Center and working with coastal engineers and other local professionals to learn how to minimize human impact on the coastal environment. The cost is $90, and the deadline to apply is April 25.
