ACF Opens Registration For Estuary Corps Program

The Alabama Coastal Foundation (ACF) is holding the 2026 Mobile Bay Estuary Corps program for students in 6th and 7th grades on June 11-13 at 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. The educational program aims to engage students through online career awareness videos and hands-on activities that explore and improve estuarine systems. Activities include team-building exercises and learning about Alabama’s Underwater Forest, oyster restoration and Mobile Bay Watershed; touring Gulf State Park, a fish hatchery and the new Gulf Coast Eco Center; and exploring on the Dauphin Island Sea Lab’s Alabama Discovery vessel and learning about seagrass and wildlife including sea turtles. The cost is $90, and the deadline to apply is April 29.
