ACF’S Cocktails For The Coast Coming Up

The Alabama Coastal Foundation (ACF)‘s annual Cocktails for the Coast fundraiser is taking place on November 9 at 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Bluegill Restaurant on the Causeway. ACF will be celebrating its 30th Anniversary in a private room. The keynote speaker is Dr. Thane Wibbels, a biology professor and undergraduate honors program director at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). He has researched the biology and conservation of marine turtles, with an emphasis on the critically endangered Kemp’s ridley sea turtle, over the past 40 years and taught both at UAB and the Dauphin Island Sea Lab. Tickets are $100 and include food and two beverages.
