Coastal Managers Training Coming Up

Facilitation Basics for Coastal Managers, a virtual training to help coastal managers conduct better meetings, is being held on October 26-27 at no cost. “Participants gain the knowledge and skills to make meetings they conduct effective, productive and efficient,” organizers said. Attendees will learn basic facilitation skills, including techniques for dealing with disruptive behaviors. Hosted by expert and experienced trainers from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Office for Coastal Management, it is organized by NOAA, the Coastal Training Programs of the Grand Bay (Mississippi) and Weeks Bay (Alabama) National Estuarine Research Reserves, the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources and the Lands Division of the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
