Comments Being Received For Weeks Bay Restoration

The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources has announced that the Alabama Trustee Implementation Group has released a draft supplemental restoration plan and environmental assessment to the Alabama Restoration Plan II released in 2018. The Alabama Weeks Bay Land Acquisition (Lloyd Tract): Supplemental Restoration Plan/Environmental Assessment is available for public comment through January 6, 2022. The plan proposes to use “Wetlands, Coastal, and Nearshore Habitats” restoration funds from the terminated Harrod Tract project to acquire a property known as the Lloyd Tract, composed of 60 acres in Baldwin County along two tributaries of Fish River in the Weeks Bay watershed.
