Comments Sought For Dauphin Island Conservation Plan
The Town of Dauphin Island has announced that the public comment period for the Dauphin Island West End Bird Conservation and Management Plan is now open through December 4. The town and Mobile County have developed this plan with funding provided by the Deepwater Horizon oil spill settlement through the Alabama Trustee Implementation Group. The plan is intended to guide future implementation of management activities for the uninhabited far West End of the island, with the goal of increasing nesting bird populations and enhancing habitat quality and availability. Comments may be sent to Chris Warn.
