CWA Donates 10,000 Books To Baldwin County Schools

Fairhope-basedClean Water Alabama (CWA) recently donated 10,000 coloring and activity books to Baldwin County Public Schools (BCPS) to help teach elementary students the importance of being good stewards of Alabama waterways. The schools were also given teacher lesson plans to accompany the books as part of the yearlong collaborative effort, which began with the creation of the materials by CWA member and retired sixth-grade teacher Wayne Miller. Miller said Supervisor of Elementary Curriculum for BCPS Becky Turner was instrumental in gaining approval for the school’s use of the coloring and activity books. In addition to BCPS, the books were donated to several area private schools, including Bayside Academy in Daphne.
