Davis To Speak On New Ornithology Book

MOBILE, Ala. — The School of Marine & Environmental Sciences at the University of South Alabama (USA) in Mobile and the USA Foundation are holding the Wiese Distinguished Lecture Series featuring Dr. Jack Davis on March 7 at 6:30 p.m. in the Allied Health Lecture Hall at USA. Davis is a professor of environmental history and author of Pulitzer Prize-winning book The Gulf: The Making of an American Sea. He will be discussing his new book, The Bald Eagle: The Improbable Journey of America’s Bird, which was just released and is currently Amazon’s bestseller in the “Ornithology” category. The book features a cultural and natural history of the bird in America.
