Eco Clean Marine Leads Spontaneous Cleanup

Gulf Shores-based Eco Clean Marine, a nonprofit dedicated to preserving coastal ecosystems, recently teamed with a group of 20 out-of-state volunteers—including 11 children—during a recent visit to Gulf Shores to pick up trash. In just 2 hours, the group collected 20 5-gallon buckets of garbage near The Hangout. “This spontaneous cleanup effort was more than just a trash collection—it was a powerful reminder that environmental care knows no boundaries. While many come to Gulf Shores for sun and sand, these visitors chose to dedicate part of their vacation to giving back to the community and coastline,” Eco Clean Marine said. The effort was part of its broader mission, which includes monthly cleanup events, youth education and partnerships to drive community-based conservation.
