Fairhope Reopens Commenting For Waterfront Project

The City of Fairhope will reopen the comment period for the RESTORE Working Waterfront project, FOX10 was among outlets to report. The first of the city’s Resources and Ecosystems Sustainability, Tourist Opportunities, and Revived Economies of the Gulf Coast States Act (RESTORE) grant projects, it includes improvements to the shoreline and bluffs at Fairhope Pier and South Beach Park. Its main goal involves resiliency, sustainability and human interaction improvements along the shore. This new period allows the public to submit more comments regarding the controversial design and other aspects of the project via email or mail/envelope drop-off at City Hall until the end of the month.
