Gray Appointed To Conservation Advisory Board

Charlie Gray of Dauphin Island has been appointed to the Alabama Conservation Advisory Board by Gov. Kay Ivey. Gray will complete the current term for Gary Wolfe of Fairhope, who resigned from the board in April. A native of Dauphin Island, Gray is vice president and manager of underwriting for Surety Land Title, Inc. in Mobile and a 1988 graduate of the University of South Alabama. He also serves on the Dauphin Island Planning Commission and Board of Adjustment and Industrial Development Authority and is a trustee for the Dauphin Island Sea Lab Foundation and a board member of the Dauphin Island Heritage and Arts Council. He has served in various leadership roles with the Mobile County Wildlife and Conservation Association, American Land Title Association, Southeast Land Title Association, Alabama Association of Realtors, Mobile Area Association of Realtors and Mobile Mortgage Bankers Association. He has fished the Gulf Coast for more than 45 years and is an International Game Fish Association-certified charter boat captain. “His fishing expertise in Alabama’s coastal waters will bring a wealth of knowledge and outdoor recreation experience to the board,” said Chris Blankenship, commissioner of the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR)
