Kudulis Named MBNEP Director

Following a national search, the Mobile Bay National Estuary Program (MBNEP) Executive Committee has appointed Jason Kudulis as the organization’s new director. Kudulis, who has been at MBNEP for a decade, most recently as deputy director, will begin his new role on February 1. During his tenure with MBNEP, Kudulis has led restoration initiatives focused on improving water quality, enhancing community resilience and implementing nature-based solutions across coastal Alabama. A Mobile native, Kudulis holds a BS from the University of South Alabama and an MS from the University of Alabama. His professional background includes service with the National Park Service; the States of Alabama and Utah; and the nonprofit sector, where he specialized in restoration planning and science-based resource management.
