Launch At Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) Update

Construction of The Launch at ICW is ahead of schedule, according to Baldwin County Engineer Joey Nunnally, Gulf Coast Media reports. Ground was broken at the Orange Beach location on June 16 (BBN #46). The 47-acre property has more than 1,700 ft of water frontage on ICW just west of the toll bridge. The first phase of the $17.5-million project includes six boat launches, 200 lighted boat and trailer parking spaces, 84 lighted passenger car spaces, six covered pavilions with picnic table seating, one “grand pavilion” and more than ½ mi. of concrete sidewalks and boardwalks throughout the launch and pavilion areas. Future phases will include eight restrooms, walking trails, wooden bridges and fishing piers. Now that the ramps have been poured, decking is being placed, and basin dredging is almost complete, opening is expected in early February 2022. Launch At Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) Update
