“Learn To Burn” Scheduled For May

MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. — The Alabama Cooperative Extension Service is holding a “Learn to Burn” event in Mobile County on the first available burn day during May 9-13. Up to 20 attendees will experience a daylong, start-to-finish prescribed burn. Each participant will be assigned to a crew, each of which will be led by experienced, Alabama Certified Prescribed Burn managers. They should expect to spend most of the day on their feet walking around the burn unit and should wear natural fiber clothing (no synthetic materials).
