Little Lagoon Restoration Updates

Alabama’s Trustee Implementation Group, tasked with distributing funds from the oil spill settlements, approved the additional $2 million in November 2024. This will allow the city to bid out the project soon. The $6.4-million project will restore waterfront habitat damaged in Hurricane Ivan in 2004. It is to be completed by summer 2026.
