Mobile Baykeeper Looking For Swim Program Volunteers

Mobile Baykeeper has announced that it needs more volunteers for its ongoing Swim Where It’s Monitored (SWIM) program. SWIM tests the water quality of 20 sites across Mobile and Baldwin counties, focusing on sites with public access so communities can know whether nearby locations are safe for swimming. SWIM monitors will visit selected sites weekly or monthly to collect water samples from a site(s) across Mobile and Baldwin counties. They are responsible for carefully collecting water samples to prevent contamination and returning the samples to the Mobile Baykeeper Lab in Mobile for processing and reading on the same day as collection.
