Mobile Baykeeper To Host Growth Regulation Event

Mobile Baykeeper will share community-driven Smart Growth Regulation recommendations at Fairhope United Methodist Church at 155 South Section Street in Fairhope on July 16 at 6-7 p.m. The organization said the event will be “focused on healthier waterways, stronger infrastructure and protecting the quality of life that makes Coastal Alabama special.” Residents, community leaders, local officials, developers and decision makers are expected to converse about the future of Coastal Alabama. Mobile Baykeeper said the recurring recommendations it hears involve stormwater runoff from construction sites, failing sewage infrastructure, large developments moving forward without enough scrutiny, changing waterways and worsening flooding.
