Mobile Baykeeper Virtual Event Set

Mobile Baykeeper has announced its Bay Inspiration benefit for March 25 at 5:30-7p.m. Formerly known as “Bay Awakening,” its differences go beyond a name, as it will be virtual this year. Still, the purpose is the same: to inspire citizens to get involved with conservation of local waterways and coastal communities. Gloria Reuben, president of Mobile Baykeeper’s parent organization, Waterkeeper Alliance, and an actor, singer and writer on the national stage, will be the keynote speaker. The two-time Emmy nominee has had roles in ER and Lincoln. The event will also feature other presentations, live music and a short film on Mobile Baykeeper’s work. Tickets start at $5, and all patrons will receive a hard copy of Mobile Baykeeper’s Annual Report.
