Next USA By The Bay To Focus On Sustainability

The next talk in the University of South Alabama’s (USA) Eastern Shore “USA by the Bay” speaker series is being held at USA’s location at 111 St James Street in Fairhope on April 10 at 5:30-7:30 p.m. The talk will feature Dr. Steven Scyphers, chief sustainability officer at USA. “Sustainability at South” is both the title of the talk and an initiative led by Scyphers. Current priorities at USA include conducting a campuswide sustainability assessment, promoting the main campus as an outdoor classroom and supporting student research and career development opportunities in sustainability. USA is focused on advancing and connecting sustainability across cutting-edge research, experiential education, campus operations and community engagement. A reception will follow this free event. Seating is limited, and registration is required.
