Osprey Renews Contract With Mobile

MOBILE, Ala. — Osprey Initiative, LLC recently renewed its contract with the City of Mobile to continue to address litter in local waterways, particularly in the Three Mile Creek and Dog River watersheds. Under their new contract, Osprey will maintain 12 of its Litter Gitters to trap trash and debris on the surface of various waterways, the city’s large Bandalong Litter Trap in Eslava Creek and the city’s recently installed litter interceptors at 30 sewer inlets. In 2021, Osprey Initiative collected nearly 40,000 pounds of litter from Mobile waterways in traps and by hand. Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson recently shared a video about how the partnership has worked so far.
